One is our resort campus NEOC | Twin Pines | River Drivers Restaurant, one is our Knife Edge Brewing and Adventure Center, and the other is our Campground - the Penobscot Outdoor Center. Positions listed below include river guides for whitewater rafting, office and reservations staff, front desk staff, housekeeping kitchen help, servers, etc... We are located in the heart of Maine, just 8 miles from Baxter State Park and Maine's highest mountain - Katahdin. Our facilities are in an amazing location which makes it easy to paddle, fish and hike on days off in the Great North Woods. Our award-winning River Driver's Restaurant is located at our resort on Millinocket Lake, and in 2014 we were voted "Best Adventure Resort in New England by Yankee Magazine" a title we were honored to receive. Registered Maine Guide
New England Outdoor Center is looking for Registered Maine Recreation Guides. Candidates must have current Maine Recreation Guide License and CPR/First Aid. Knowledge of field is a must, ability to lift 50+ lbs, great group management, and a flexible schedule. Rec Guides need to be able to conduct wildlife tours by van or pontoon boat, canoe, or kayak. Ability and desire to run overnight canoe or kayak trips is a plus! NEOC is willing to train the right candidates!

Whitewater Raft Guide
New England Outdoor Center is looking for energetic, athletic, hardworking individuals with a love for the outdoors and a passion for sharing it with our guests. Previous whitewater experience is preferred but we are willing to bring quick learners up to speed. Your training will include River Morphology, Safety Techniques, River Etiquette, Daily Procedures, River Rescue and lots and lots of whitewater rafting!
Requirements: Must be 18 Years or Older, Basic CPR/First Aid (WFR preferred), Ability to lift 50+ lbs, Good physical shape, Ability to complete guide training course, Pay the State of Maine fees for a 3 year license, Valid driver’s license.

Trail Builders
Katahdin Area Trails is looking for Trail Builders! Candidates will have the ability to lift heavy objects 75+ lbs, be able to sustain long days with occasional strenuous tasks, limited opportunity to operate small excavators and mechanical wheelbarrows. KAT offers seasonal employment opportunities building mountain bike trails in the Katahdin Region. Candidates should be highly self motivated and have the ability to work productively without continuous supervision. Experience with mountain biking is a strong plus but not a requirement. Work week: 40 to 45 hours - can be weather dependent.

Grounds & Maintenance
New England Outdoor Center is looking for Grounds & Maintenance candidates to maintain our two summer locations: NEOC, and our whitewater rafting base/campground, Penobscot Outdoor Center (POC). Candidates are expected to perform regular and directed grounds, building, and vehicle maintenance. Daily duties are ever-changing. Candidates should have an eye for detail, must be able to lift 50+ lbs, have knowledge of general building, grounds, and vehicle maintenance, good customer service skills, be able to fluctuate between our two locations (approx 6mi apart - transportation provided), have experience with outdoor activities, and be highly self motivated with the ability to work productively without continuous supervision. Evenings and weekends a must. NEOC is willing to train the right candidates!

Front Desk | Office Staff | Reservations
We are looking for candidates to work in the offices between our two summer locations: NEOC, and our whitewater rafting base/campground, Penobscot Outdoor Center (POC). Office/Reservations staff handles incoming calls for reservations for our four-season resort- booking lodging, camping, rafting and other activities in summer. Winter time Reservations staff handles snowmobiling and lodging amongst other activities. Looking for detail orientated candidates who have experience in either reservations, office positions, or both. Knowledge of computers and the ability to deal with occasional to frequent high call volumes a must. Positions are full time and part-time 20-40 hours per week. Evenings and weekends a must! NEOC is willing to train the right candidates!

Housekeeping
New England Outdoor Center is a four season resort, with twenty-one cabins on-site. Our cabins are full amenity and are maintained as a house! We are looking for housekeepers to join our cleaning team!
Housekeeper Requirements: Able to manage time efficiently and productively, work well unsupervised, must be able to lift 25+ lbs, handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
Housekeeper Responsibilities: Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors, clean and stock restrooms and kitchens, change beds, notify maintenance of any issues, and assist guests when necessary.

River Drivers Restaurant
On-site of the New England Outdoor Center is our award-winning River Drivers Restaurant. River Drivers is open year round, and is currently hiring for the following positions:
FRONT OF HOUSE-
Bartender: We are looking for professional and enthusiastic Bartenders to provide an excellent guest experience. Candidates must be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations, verify identification and age requirements of customers, have strong knowledge behind the bar, be capable of processing payments from customers, have the ability to problem solve and serve as a leader to waitstaff, have good judgement in tough situations, have time management skills, clean glasses and bar utensils, make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences, record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits, build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere, complete shift side work such as cleaning and restocking as aspect for the bar. Evenings and weekends are a must! River Drivers is willing to train the right candidates!
Server: We are looking for professional and enthusiastic Servers who will be responsible for taking orders from and serving food to customers. Duties will include taking food and drink orders, ensuring that tables are served properly and that all payments are collected. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with hostesses, bartenders, cooks and other staff. Previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is greatly desired and the ability to problem solve and serve as a leader to waitstaff. Our staff takes great pride in maintaining familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information. It is a requirement to meet with managers and waitstaff regularly in order to learn about menu changes and specials as well as discuss upcoming reservations. Additionally- complete shift side work such as cleaning and restocking as aspect for the restaurant. Evenings and weekends are a must! River Drivers is willing to train the right candidates.
Host/Hostess: We are looking for professional and enthusiastic Host/Hostesses to welcome our guests in a warm and friendly manner- Ascertains their dining/lodging needs. Seats guests and manage the seating chart. Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. Candidates should work well under pressure, make quick and accurate decisions, and be able to problem solve. Evenings and weekends are a must! We are willing to train the right candidates!

BACK OF HOUSE-
At our award-winning River Driver's Restaurant, we hire prep cooks, line cooks, and dishwashers to join our team. We need hard-working, self-motivated, fun and energetic people to come to cook with us! Experience is an asset but we will train the right candidates. We'll be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner so we can accommodate almost any schedule -- everyone is encouraged to apply - summers and winters are busy, we have weddings and events on weekends.
Line Cook: Applicant should have some prior experience working in a full service restaurant but we are wiling to train the right person! This person will prep food and other items, stock kitchen stations and cook items to the specification's of the restaurants menu. Applicant must be able to follow current service industry guidelines on proper personal hygiene, food preparation and storage, and restaurant cleaning procedures. Flexible schedule with nights and weekends a must. Willing to train the right candidates!
Prep Cook: This position requires the person to adequately and efficiently prepare items needed for the restaurant's menu specifications. Candidates will be making bulk salad dressings, sauces, cutting proteins, chopping vegetables, etc. Candidates will also be helping with properly receiving and storing the deliveries and helping set up the stations for the restaurant. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, be willing to take direction and work in a fast paced environment. Flexible schedule with weekends a must. Willing to train the right candidates!
Dishwasher: Must be able to communicate well and multitask, be clean and follow service industry cleaning guidelines. Applicant should be able to lift 50+ lbs, be self motivated and bring a high energy level- as well as be able to work in a faced paced environment. Knife Edge Brewing
On-site of the New England Outdoor Center is our brand new location, Knife Edge Brewing. Knife Edge Brewing is open year round, and is currently hiring for the following positions:
Tasting Room Associate: Front Counter Help We are a new brewery located just outside of Millinocket! The Tasting Room position is a fun position and perfect for you if you enjoy working with a team of people and providing customer service. This job involves taking orders for customers into our POS System, preparing orders and cashing guests out. Pizza making and prepping. Table service and overall assisting customers or your teammates as needed. Clean workspace is a must and everyone works together at the end of the night to clean up!
Customer service and POS experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidates! Positive attitude, great work ethic and willingness to be busy.

Strong communication skills, friendly and outgoing personality, patience, works well under pressure in a fast paced environment, good time management skills, organized, clean/tidy, and ability to stand on feet during entire shift
