It was a rainy morning in the Katahdin Region so our Maine guide, Bob took his small group of 2 by van into Sandy Stream Pond to see if any creatures might be out there braving the weather. They were able to see some loons and great blue herons but that was about all. On our evening tour Ken was able to get his group out on the pontoon boat despite a few lingering rain drops. As they rounded the bend heading to Big Mud Brook they were delighted by the sight of a cow moose. As they ventured into Big Mud, they saw 2 more cows, one with a calf along with 2 beavers, ducks, loons, geese, 2 osprey, 2 great blue heron and a painted turtle. As they were heading back out to Millinocket Lake they saw another cow moose! You just have to love those 5 moose nights! Great job Ken!!
