Maine Guide, Ken had a double header today—one moose tour in the morning and one in the evening!

On the morning tour, Ken and his group of 8 headed out in the NEOC pontoon to Big Mud Brook. It was a beautiful morning, a bit chilly but blue skies. I won’t keep you in suspense this time–they did not see a moose. They did, however, see a ring-necked duck, a belted kingfisher, 3 deer, 2 common goldeneye and a number of loons, not to mention gorgeous views of Katahdin. All in all a great trip!

The evening tour had Ken and 6 guests heading out to Big Mud Brook again. Skies were still blue and a definite chill was in the air as temps were expected to dip to 37 later in the evening. Luck was also in the air as they ended up seeing THREE MOOSE by the time the evening was over! Everyone was also thrilled to see beaver and loons and a pileated woodpecker! Rata-tat-tattttt, how about that!
