The lake was like a sheet of glass this morning with the only ripple being from the wake of the boat as Ken set out for Big Mud Brook. He and his group of 6 were delighted with the beautiful weather and the sighting of loons, 3 kingfishers, some common mergansers and goldeneyes, a turkey vulture and 4 deer, 3 does and 1 stag. On the evening tour, Tallie was our guide and she took her group of 8 to Sandy Stream Pond and River Pond. The group consisted of several children that were quick to point out the tadpoles and leeches in the pond. They also saw a loon and a snowshoe hare.
