It was a beautiful start to a spectacular day in the Katahdin region as our Maine guide, Val spotted 2 small bull moose near River Pond this morning. (Picture below) For the afternoon wildlife tour, our Maine guide, Ken loaded his group of 7 onto the NEOC pontoon and off they went to see what they could find. The sights included a mallard, a family of 6 geese, 4 ring-necked ducks, 2 beaver and a goose sitting on a nest. Of course the views of Katahdin with her snow-capped peak were stunning on this bright and sunny day as well.
