On this lovely, calm and sunny morning our Maine guide, Matt and 2 guests set out on the NEOC pontoon boat en route for Big Mud Brook. As they made their way across the lake they encountered 8 loons, 2 snapping turtles, 3 bald eagles and some golden eye ducks. In the evening our guides, Val and Tallie took a group of 8 to Compass Pond via kayak and they were delighted to see 2 loons, 2 rare American bitterns and 3 moose! What a great day on the water.
