After a mostly cloudy day the sky cleared and the lake calmed just in time for our evening wildlife tour. Matt was our guide with a group of 5. As they set their sights on Big Mud Brook they came across 12 loons, kingfishers and black ducks, eastern phoebes, a great blue heron, 8 painted turtles and some beavers. All that and the surrounding beauty of Millinocket Lake with Katahdin standing proud above made for some happy guests.
