After a much needed day off we were back in full swing with both a morning and evening wildlife tours today. In the morning, Ken and a single guest went out on Millinocket Lake and encountered lots of wildlife including loons and wood ducks, kingfishers, Canada geese, a pileated woodpecker, common mergansers, an osprey, a cooper’s hawk and 2 eagles. On the evening tour with Ken at the helm again and a full boat of 14 guests setting off for Big Mud Brook, the sights were both a bald eagle and a juvenile eagle, a sharp shinned hawk, wood ducks, Canada geese, kingfishers, a black duck, a pileated woodpecker, a great blue heron, a broad wing hawk, a loon and a beaver.
