On this warm July day the lake was calm and inviting so our Maine guide Ken took his group of 6 out on Millinocket Lake in search of creatures great and small. They saw 2 Canada jays, ring-neck ducks, a kingfisher, an eagle, a deer and a nesting loon. In the evening, Ken once again took his group on the pontoon boat and headed to Big Mud Brook. Along the way they saw an eagle, an osprey, a kingfisher, 2 beaver, loons including one nesting, and a deer. Everyone raved about the beauty of the serene lake in the shadow of the spectacular Katahdin.
