The reflection of Katahdin in the calm lake this morning was a sight to see as Ken and his group of 4 set sail for Big Mud Brook. The stunning scenery was not all that they enjoyed though, a flock of ring-neck ducks, a mallard, a broad-wing hawk, 3 eagles and a bull moose were the sights of the morning. In the evening, with the threat of thunderstorms once again, Ken gathered his group of 12 into the van and headed up the Golden Road. Along the way to the Sofa Pit they encountered ducks and barn swallows, a deer and 3 fox along with some delicious wild Maine blueberries. Yum!
