We just might have set a record today for the number of tours and guests in one day. Our Maine guide, Ken started out the day with a morning wildlife tour and 6 guests. It was a beautiful sunny day so they boarded the NEOC pontoon boat and on their way to Big Mud Brook they saw 5 loons, a common merganser, a northern flicker, 2 painted turtles and a deer. In the afternoon, Ken had 2 sight-seeing tours starting with 14 guests who wanted to check out Sandy Stream Beach. They did see a bald eagle on their way which was very delightful on this July 4th weekend. At 2 pm he was back out with 2 adults and a child for a relaxing boat ride where they saw loons and common mergansers. As the saying goes, there was no rest for the weary as Ken was back out on the lake with another full boat of 14 guests for the evening tour. They were all very excited to see 3 loons, common mergansers, ring-neck ducks, 2 beaver and 2 cow moose! The group headed back to Twin Pines in time to see the gorgeous fireworks display.
