It was a dreary, rainy day in the Katahdin region today however that did not deter our Maine guide, Ken and 16 guests that were looking for some wildlife. The NEOC van was the mode of transportation for the day and as they traveled to the Sofa Pit they saw wild strawberries and lady slippers as well as barn swallows, a hawk, a pileated woodpecker, an American bittern, ring-necked ducks and Canada geese and a cow moose!
