It was a beautiful, crisp, clear day to search for the wiley Maine moose! Alas, the moose eluded us this time but we did, however, hear a moose calling off in the distance. We enjoyed fantastic scenery and views as we traveled by van through Baxter State Park. We returned to NEOC via the famed Golden Road. Compass Pond and River Pond were gorgeous with fall colors and clouds reflecting in the water. Our guide, Glen, pointed out cranberry bushes surrounding one of the ponds and picked a few for everyone to try. SOUR!
