Our adventure base is located at the Penobscot Outdoors Center at 135 Basecamp Rd in Millinocket, Maine

We offer rafting trips on the Penobscot River every day except Thursdays from May to October

Our busy season begins in late June and runs through the beginning of September. However, if you book before Memorial day you may be treated to a high adventure trip as the snowmelt fills the Penobscot river. Our fall guests are treated to the beautiful foliage of the North Maine Woods and Baxter State Park. Basically what we’re trying to say is there’s never a bad time to go rafting!

No problem! Our registered Maine guides are put through rigorous training to ensure you have the safest and most enjoyable experience possible.

We supply a raft that was custom built for the Penobscot river, Coast Guard certified PFDs, helmets, and paddles.

You will be responsible for base layers, bathing suits, and eyewear protection if you’re wearing sunglasses or glasses on the trip. We have Chums available at our adventure base if you need them! We strongly advise against wearing any cotton clothing, stick to wool, fleece, polyester, or any other synthetic material for maximum comfort.

We attempt to provide photos and video for all trips so you don’t have to risk losing your camera!

It depends on the day, our trip leaders prepare a weather report before every trip and can provide a recommendation for you. We have wetsuits available to rent if you decide you’d like one!

Your choice of protein (chicken, fish, steak, or veggie burger), our world famous river rice, cole slaw, and a dessert surprise!
